Camp Rainbow uses a thematic approach for its' weekly activities. For adolescents, our program involves them in daily living activities designed to help them better work independently as well as develop confidence and self esteem.
Take Advantage of our Extended School Year
Mission
The Arc's Camp Rainbow Summer Day Camp Program provides extended school year services for many school districts. The program is designed to support and maintain the skills children are learning during the school year and incorporate skill maintenance and development in accordance with the IEP.
Extended School Year Programs
The IEP is utilized by Rainbow's Special Education Teachers to guide programming aimed at maintaining existing skills and developing new compentencies. Instruction occurs during focused activities and is also incorporated into activities throughout the day. There is a strong emphasis on building independence, communication and socal skills.
